Our Story

Garage Theory is an in-house design and manufacturer of Japanese classic car parts and accessories.

Steve started Garage Theory in the place he knows best, his 20 x 20 foot two-car garage in San Diego, California. When he started designing his first product, a strut brace for his Datsun 510, the goal was simple: create a quality product with a unique style. People responded positively to the strut brace, which sparked the motivation and drive to continue designing and creating exceptional products.

Steve comes from a background consisting of 20+ years emerged in automotive culture. He has always been interested in fabrication, making one-of-a-kind pieces for himself. With the support and encouragement from his family and friends, he realized he may be able to turn his passion for cars into a business.

One of Garage Theory’s top priorities is customer satisfaction. The company is dedicated in providing excellent customer service and a seamless experience. Customers are able to develop a direct relationship with the designer and creator, as Steve addresses all product questions and concerns.
